Adult Ministries

Life is meant to be shared. God intends for us to experience life together – the Bible calls this fellowship. Real fellowship is much more than just showing up at services. It is experiencing life together, including unselfish loving, honest sharing, practical serving, sacrificial giving, and sympathetic comforting. When it comes to fellowship, size matters – smaller is better.

That’s why at Bay Pointe, we encourage you to get into a small group. We offer various affinity small groups – couples’, singles’, workplace, men’s, women’s, etc. No matter where you are in life, there’s something for everybody! Check out the group listings below, the Small Group table in the lobby or contact the Bay Pointe offices for more information, 231.922.9882.

“For where two or three have gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.” – Matthew 18:20 NIV

  • Men's Ministry

Men are not just here to survive – we are here to thrive! Equipping and empowering men to pursue God’s larger adventure. Our ministry to men is designed to meet men where they live – work, marriage, parenting, and faith.

The battle for the spiritual life is too difficult to attempt on your own. We all need a few men in our lives to fight beside us and watch our backs. A Men’s Small Group is a tremendous place to get the tools, resources, and support you need to grow as a Christ-follower. Be a part of a group of Godly men who will be there to encourage and empower you in your journey with Christ, your relationships, and your work life.

God’s role for men is a unique one and statistics will tell you that for the most part, from a spiritual perspective, as the man goes so goes the family. When 100 husbands show up to church, 97 families follow! Whereas if 100 wives or kids show up to church, only 20-25 families follow. The call to be the spiritual leaders of our homes is not to be taken lightly so as a church, we want to do everything we can to come alongside men in their journey because we can’t do it alone!

  • Single Adults (30+)

Single Adults Ministry. Single in life, Together in Christ. It is our mission to provide a biblical foundation from which the Single Adults within the Bay Pointe Community can build life long, God honoring relationships with followers of Jesus and those seeking Jesus.

This ministry is not just an event you attend or a program you go to… it’s a community. We’re a community of single men and single women who are actively chasing after a relationship with Jesus by pursuing God’s purposes for our life! If you’ve never married, are divorced or widowed, or if you’re a single parent… this is the community for you!

At Bay Pointe, we understand the needs of those living the single life. We also understand God’s design for men and women living the single life. In Genesis 2:18, God sees everything He created as good except for people being alone, “Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for man to be alone…” If you’re feeling lonely, take a look at three remedies God gives us to relieve loneliness:

    His PLAN to live for
God never creates without a purpose. As it is with everybody else, you are God’s creation. In Psalm 138:8 the psalmist recognizes that, “The Lord will work out his plans for my life.” God has a plan for your life!

    His PEOPLE to live with
God doesn’t want you to live in isolation. In Psalm 68:8 tells us, “God places the lonely in families …” The church is the family of God. That’s us! Bay Pointe is a family where you can know others and be known.

    His PRESENCE to live in
God will never leave you. In Hebrews 13:5, He promises “… I will never abandon you.” Others may abandon you, but God never will. He is always there for you and connecting daily with Him is an essential part of life.
