Everyone is blessed with distinct gifts – spiritual gifts – that come together to make our church whole. Whether you find your place in one of our defined serving areas – programming, 1st impressions, building and grounds, assisting in our children’s or student ministries – or you see a need and serve in your own way, you’ll find that there is great joy in giving!

1st Impressions

The 1st Impressions team consists of volunteers who are the face and heart of Bay Pointe Community Church — making sure everyone is welcome, comfortable, and informed. Below are the various serving areas of this ministry.

• Coffee Servers
This team gets to use their gift of hospitality by meeting people and serving them coffee on Sunday mornings in the lobby.

• U’N2 greeters
This team is made up of people who love to share their smiles, extend a hand and greet people who come through our doors on Sunday mornings. This team also welcomes new families who have kids and tour them through the Children’s Ministry area.

• Ushers
This team makes sure that all of our guests are able to find a comfortable seat for a Sunday morning service. They also hand out programs and informational flyers and receive tithes and offerings from the congregation.

• Medical Team
If you are a nurse or a doctor or have special medical training, we could use your help in the event that we have a medical emergency on a Sunday morning.

• The Parking Team
This team truly is the “first impression” of the church. They work outside greeting our guests and directing them to a parking spot or drop-off area.

• The HUB
If you like to help people get informed with everything that’s going on at Bay Pointe, then working at The HUB is where you need to be!

Building and Grounds

The stewardship of our physical structure is an act of thanksgiving. Volunteers on the Building and Grounds Team are responsible for the care of this gift.

• Landscaping
This team helps with the ongoing maintenance and beautification of our campus. It includes maintaining existing landscaping, planting of annual and perennial flowers and plants, maintaining the two entrances and keeping the parking lot and walkways cleaned off. This team would also be involved in the planning, creation and maintenance of a possible future memorial garden.

• Cleaning
This team helps to keep the interior building clean. Duties include vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, trash removal, picking up and organizing different areas within the building.

• Snow Removal
This team’s duties are primarily on Sunday mornings prior to our services. They are responsible for keeping the walkways safe for pedestrian traffic by working together to remove snow and ice.

• Maintenance
This team works on an as needed basis doing minor repairs and maintenance on both the interior and exterior of the building. It is a team made up of people who are considered to be “handy” and may have some training in a specific trade.

• Chair Team
This team is called on periodically to set up or rearrange the chairs in the auditorium for different types of events.
