Artist Information Form Deadline: February 1, 2012. Please include completed form and entry fee with checks made payable to BPCC.
Purpose: A celebration of God’s gift of creativity. Bay Pointe Community Church endeavors to utilize the gifts God has given us through the visual arts to encourage and inspire one another.
Scope: You are submitting artwork for the purpose of public display at BPCC. Contributors submitting artwork must read and sign this artwork release form. The artist will not receive any form of compensation from Bay Pointe.
Presentation Requirements: BPCC welcomes visual artists of skill levels from intermediate to advanced. This is an opportunity for artists to show and sell their artwork. 15% to 20% of sales will go to cover the cost of this event. The following styles and media of original artwork are encouraged: charcoal, digital, media, paint (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), pastel, photography, pottery, sculpture, textiles, and writing. Artwork must be ready to display, framed with suitable, well reinforced frames, with hardware and wire in place. The artist’s name must be clearly identified on each piece. Artwork not meeting these requirements will not be accepted.
Method of Entry: Art submission form, and a digital image and original artwork should be hand delivered NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, 2012 to the BPCC office during office hours (9-5, Mon-Fri) or to The HUB in the lobby during weekend services.
Pickup: Artwork must be picked up during office hours between MAY 13-20, 2012
Liability: Utmost care will be taken in handling artwork; however, Bay Pointe Community Church will not be responsible for any damage or loss to any art submitted, displayed in this exhibition, or not picked up on the date specified above. All responsibility is the artist’s.
Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded for first ($1000), second ($250) and third place ($150). There will also be prizes for honorable mention pieces.
Our goal with this show is to display each piece of art submitted. However, in the unlikely event that submissions exceed space a lotted, the juror will choose pieces to be displayed. BPCC recognizes that all submitted artwork is the personal expression of the individual artist and will handle non-selected art with dignity and appreciation to the artist. BPCC also reserves the right to deny artwork that is deemed controversial or inappropriate for viewing by the public.
BPCC reserves the right to request promotional photographs of the artists work. Thank you for participating and sharing your artistic gifts.
